Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system designed for speed, simplicity and security. The Chrome OS Partner Solutions team is dedicated to developing and managing the largest and most strategic technical partnerships for Chrome OS. We manage the hardware/software integration and product delivery for all partners in the growing Chrome OS ecosystem. We build innovative solutions to help our team and partners achieve product excellence at scale, fostering long-term relationships and bringing world-changing technology to market.
You will be a member of a dynamic product team committed to creating the best possible experience from Chrome OS and the devices it ships upon for a variety of use cases. The role involves working closely with hardware engineers, software engineers and ODMs/OEMs to design, build and launch high quality products which take advantage of both server-side performance and client-side flexibility in hardware. Specifically, you will drive core product development in the lower part of the stack, namely device hardware and the software & firmware which drive that hardware. As a PM, you will partner with engineering to define new products as well as enhance & scale existing products, with the end goal being to delight our users and improve information access for millions of people globally. Responsibilities will range from product conception through launch, and include gathering product requirements, defining product vision, creating preliminary design concepts, and working closely with engineering to implement and iterate. On the business side, your responsibilities will include defining the product strategy, positioning, and all elements related to the business case.
